The Kidstruction Zone at the 2026 Everything Home Expo is a hands-on, family-friendly experience designed just for kids. Located in State College, PA, this interactive area gives young builders the chance to explore construction through creative activities and guided maker projects. Children gain confidence while having fun and discovering how homes come together.

Grab a tool, tap a nail, and watch something take shape! Kids can dive into hands-on projects designed just for them — building real pieces they’ll be proud to show off. It’s safe, guided by The Rivet at Discovery Space Staff, and full of that “I made this!” feeling.
Garden Detectives
Step into the world of bugs, gardens, and growing things! With guidance from the Penn State Extension Master Gardeners, kids can explore fun quizzes, interactive learning stations, and fascinating facts about the natural world right outside our doors.

How tall can you build it? How strong can you make it? With construction trucks, hands-on materials, and interactive build stations, kids can design, experiment, rebuild, and try again — just like real builders on the job
Paint. Play. Shine.
Add a splash of creativity with colorful face painting and hair tinsel — because every builder deserves a little personality on the job site.
Saturday only
The first 100 kids receive a free Kidstruction hard hat (while supplies last). Come early and get ready to build like the pros.
